The last few days of winter are upon us in Sydney and I’m trying to get the most out of my knits before the weather starts warming up.
It’s National Op Shop Week here in Australia and it’s a great opportunity (see what I did there – tish boom) to visit your local op shop/thrift store/charity store to nab some great buys as well as support the work these organisations do for the community.
So those of you who are 5’2″ and under will know my pain when we go shopping for bottoms, specifically pants.
When Sally from Steele My Style (and the @spotmystyle Instagram account) suggested wearing my pink blouse (that I normally wear to work) under my black dungarees to wear them in three ways, I accepted the challenge.
I recently bought a blue button up shirt by Re: (available through David Jones) and reading the label’s philosophy made me think about what I’m calling “responsible fashion”.
For quite a few years now I’ve done a fair bit of selling and buying on eBay (a lot more buying than selling, I have to admit :)) and I wanted to share what I’ve learnt from my experiences so far (as well as the excellent buys I’ve bought recently).
Since having kids I haven’t worn a lot of dresses. Well in fact, I haven’t worn a lot of dresses in general since high school, as I’m more of a pants girl.
