So those of you who are 5’2″ and under will know my pain when we go shopping for bottoms, specifically pants.
When Sally from Steele My Style (and the @spotmystyle Instagram account) suggested wearing my pink blouse (that I normally wear to work) under my black dungarees to wear them in three ways, I accepted the challenge.
I recently bought a blue button up shirt by Re: (available through David Jones) and reading the label’s philosophy made me think about what I’m calling “responsible fashion”.
For quite a few years now I’ve done a fair bit of selling and buying on eBay (a lot more buying than selling, I have to admit :)) and I wanted to share what I’ve learnt from my experiences so far (as well as the excellent buys I’ve bought recently).
Since having kids I haven’t worn a lot of dresses. Well in fact, I haven’t worn a lot of dresses in general since high school, as I’m more of a pants girl.
I love me an Instagram style challenge every now and again, and this one by Jo from icurvy is a pretty good one.
The outfit I’m wearing in this post has been entirely thrifted through the main ways I buy second hand items.
I had been after a sleeveless coat for quite some time (even doing a little refashion of a sleeveless trench coat), but wanted something that was a little thicker and more of a long vest.
Today was an unseasonably warm day for winter in Sydney, so for today’s blog post I thought I’d wear my lace blouse which I bought a little while ago but hadn’t had much of a chance to give it some love due to the cold.
This week’s outfit roundup on Instagram is a pretty good demonstration of the extent of my addiction to shopping on eBay and op-shops/charity shops.
