Mom Style: Chunky Knit and Mom Jeans

Sometimes you just have to break away from the leggings and sweatshirt uniform.

There are days when you feel like wearing something colourful, other days you just want to wear pyjamas all day. Admittedly the outfit in this post is probably not the biggest stretch away from the leggings-and-sweatshirt momiform mentioned above, but at least I was wearing something other than sneakers.

My chunky knit made from Wool and the Gang yarn has kept me super cosy and snuggly, and while it’s been pretty warm the last few days I still pull out this jumper. The warmth just means I can wear it without having to lug an extra layer on top.

I took out the mom jeans because lately I’d been thinking about adding a pair of boyfriend jeans to my collection. Not that I really need them but for some reason I thought “boyfriend jeans” and started hunting for them in my usual channels. However, pulling these mom jeans on made me rethink whether I really needed them. Sometimes I just need to remind myself that what I already have will suffice.

This outfit was for an outing in the park and while the boots were probably are a bit too high for running around after kids on their scooters and balance bikes, it made for a change to what I wore in the week, even if it was just a small change.

Outfit details:
