Mum Style: Leather Moto Jacket, Stripes and Jeans

Will the moto jacket be part of my mumiform this winter?

It’s finally cold enough to whip out the Topshop leather moto jacket I bought via Facebook marketplace a few months ago.

I had been seeing loads of moto jacket outfits in my Pinterest feed and was itching to give some of the outfits a go. However, it being summer and me being pregnant meant the jacket had to be stored away until the right day.

And the right day was last week, when I felt the crisp coolness of Sydney autumn air, and I knew it was time to whip it out of storage. I paired it with my standard autumn mum uniform of striped tee, jeans and sneakers.

But wait a sec… how did it suddenly get tight across the shoulders?!

So with breastfeeding boobs comes an increase in the area across my shoulders and bust… which means that while I can put it on, I can’t actually zip it up.

Which I guess is kind of OK, because I’m breastfeeding anyway and having to zip and unzip every time I need to take the boobs out would probably get frustrating. A scarf would probably help when it gets colder.

I’ve been pinning other outfits featuring black moto jackets over here, and will use these as inspiration to wear the moto jacket through the colder months.. TIghtness across the shoulders be damned.

In the meantime… yay for autumn!

  1. I love your moto jacket and I think with a scarf it will be perfect for the cooler weather – scarves work well when breastfeeding anyway as they are so handy to have an extra cover up / wrap / spit up catcher, haha!

Hope that you are having a really nice week so far 🙂 I’m enjoying the cooler autumn weather, although it’s not quite moto jacket weather here yet!

    1. Yes! I used to have a proper breastfeeding coverup thing but found the scarf was just as handy and much more wearable. Hope the cooler weather heads your way soon (although I’m sure once it hits we’ll all be wishing for warmer weather, haha!)
