#MyStyle: Chambray pants forever

stripes and chambray pants

Happy Monday to you all! I think I may have mentioned before how much I love these Country Road chambray pants (now sold out unfortunately).

I wore them on a 5 hour flight recently and because they’re a lightweight alternative to jeans, they’re perfect for travelling, as well as for warmer climes when you still want to cover up your legs but jeans are just too heavy.

A few other things I love about them –

For petites: no hemming up required! I usually stay away from pants with elasticised ankles because the excess length on my short legs pools above my feet, but this wasn’t the case for these pants. If I wear them right on my waist, these are just the right length, hitting just at my ankle.

For mums: drawstring waist. Drop crotch. Loose fit on the legs (but not too loose). Perfect for mummy tummy (or food baby) and if you need to chase after your child/ren.

For minimalists: They’re the perfect shade of blue so go with pretty much everything in your wardrobe. I’ve also worn all manner of shoes with them – white sneakers, flat leopard shoes, Birkenstocks, snakeskin slides, lace up booties, tan wedges here – and there wasn’t a shoe that didn’t go with them. As a petite I’d probably stay away from wearing them with ankle boots though – this would really make me really look truncated! I also wouldn’t wear them with thongs/flip flops, but that’s just because I’m not a fan of them.

Any guesses on whether this pair of pants will go in my final capsule wardrobe collection? 😀
