Loving the 70s vibe these split hem jeans give!
When Petite Dressing asked if I wanted to try out these straight leg jeans with seam detail, I couldn’t say no! Jeans tailor made for petites are few and far between, and I never say no to a good pair of jeans.
The rise is mid to high, which is my preferred these days (hello mum tum!); the leg is cut more slim than straight. The inseam on these jeans is 25.5 inches which would normally hit above my ankle.
As you can see, the shorter part of the split hem sits just above my ankle, but the longer part of the split hem is longer so that part looks like a full length jean. As a result, the jeans kind of have a flared effect on my legs, which I don’t mind at all. If you’re on the “taller” side of petite (ie more than 5’0″) you’ll have more of a cropped look.
The front seam detail of the jeans also helps elongate shorter legs, and the dark wash is flattering on all body types, petite or otherwise.
I’d say the jeans are true to size, but they do have a fair bit of stretch and after wearing these jeans a few times I’ve found they have stretched to be a little bigger in the waist. I’d probably go down a size for a more snug fit.

With the craziness of preparing the hose for sale and inspections, my usual Instagram husband has been unavailable to take my regular photos. Miss 5 has stepped up to the plate as my photographer (hence the funny angles and slight blurriness of some of the photos). Ah #mumlife!
